The founders of the Definitive Caribbean – James Henderson and Feona Gray -- have both worked in and around the Caribbean for the past fifteen years.

JAMES HENDERSON is one of Britain’s most respected travel writers and the author of The Cadogan Guide to the Caribbean and the Bahamas . Known to most of its users and readers as 'the Caribbean Bible', the Cadogan Guide (published by Globe Pequot in the United States) is soon to go into its sixth edition, In the UK, see here. In the States the Cadogan Guide is published by Globe Pequot. James Henderson is an award-winning travel writer and contributes to many of the major publications in the British National press. He writes regularly for the Financial Times and contributes to the Sunday Telegraph, The Times, The Independent, Harpers and Queen and many other newspapers and magazines.

FEONA GRAY has been involved with the travel business at managerial level since 1969. She was the founder director of one of the UK’s best small tour operators and a leading villa holiday company, The Owners’ Syndicate. She sold the company in 1997, but continued as Managing Director until 1999 when she retired from the business.

The company’s award winning ‘Caribbean a la Carte’ programme was borne from a combination of Feona’s never ending love affair with the Caribbean, her pioneering spirit and her extensive experience and knowledge of the region. Her reputation for tough professionalism and exacting standards are renowned in the travel industry. As she says, ‘My motivation has always been client-led. If people are putting their trust in my product, nothing matters more than providing the best possible information, the best product and standards of service, and ultimately the right holiday for each individual client.’

It is intended that this philosophy together with Feona’s objectivity and tour operator skills, will now be usefully employed for the benefit of a global audience of travellers to the Caribbean.
