Style: A modern and very original holiday home laid out in a series of cottages on a ridge-line, all brightly painted (in mint green) with some West Indian style including a double pitched tin roof and a wraparound veranda. Very comfortable and brightly decorated inside, quirky and friendly feel. Extremely well appointed villa well suited to entertaining and for special occasions – suits keen cooks
The Beach: Leverick Bay, with all its activity – beach bar, watersports and marina- is two minutes drive down the hill. From there all the beaches of the North Sound are just a few minutes away by boat. Anniversary House has a small infinity pool with a superb view
The Rooms: 4 bedrooms en suite (all showers) in 2 separate cottages (2 bedrooms each of 1 pool side and 1 garden cottage). Each bedroom is air-conditioned with private balcony with sea views, cable TV and CD player/alarm clock
Key features: Colourful example of good quality BVI villas with top facilities and stunning views from all rooms. Swimming pool, sun terrace and area of lawn. Open-plan Great Room with sitting/dining areas, fully equipped ‘chef’s’ kitchen (Viking range) with breakfast bar, wine cooler and wet bar. Wrap-around furnished veranda with dining area and Viking gas barbecue grill. Cable TV, VCR, DVD, CD player and collection of music and movies. Complimentary use of daytime tennis court at Leverick Bay.
Children: Welcome, though not suitable for small children due to the unfenced pool and the villa’s location and layout
Staff: Maid service Mon-Sat (in the mornings). Cook on request (extra). Gardeners and pool man in attendance

Beach & Swimming
Leverick Bay is at the foot of the hill, a couple of minutes’ drive from the villa. Here you will find a small strip of sand with a beach bar and plenty of facilities, including a swimming pool and watersports (small sailboats, kayaks and snorkelling gear - you can arrange a package with the villa if you want). A marina partly encloses the beach and so there is often a good crowd in the bay. The beach bar is particularly popular for its Friday night jump up.

All the beaches of the North Sound can be reached from here. It is possible to get a water taxi or to hire a small boat (if you have the requisite licence) or join a day sail to visit them.

Anniversary House has a small freshwater, infinity-edged swimming pool set into a stone sun terrace (with the water level about a foot below) with entry steps down. It sits between the Great Room and one of the cottages. It has a lovely view over Mosquito Island and the North Sound.

Sports & Recreation
Facilities and activities at nearby Leverick Bay Resort include complimentary use of the Astroturf tennis court (daytime play only with rackets and balls available from the office). There is 50ft swimming pool, beach volley ball, a small spa, Dive BVI and Leverick Bay Watersports who hire out 17ft-28ft Bradley Powerboats and dinghies, plus Sunfish, Hobie wave, kayaks and snorkelling and waterskiing gear – Virgin Gorda Villa rentals can put together a special watersports package for you.

Locality
Anniversary House is one of around 50 holiday houses (22 of which are managed by Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals) which are set on the hillside above Leverick and Little Leverick Bay at the northern end of Virgin Gorda. Guests in the villas are able to use all the facilities of Leverick Bay Hotel and Marina, which is set on the waterfront at the foot of the hill. You will find a small supermarket there, the Chef’s Pantry, an internet café, a small spa, a dive shop and a beach bar and restaurant. There is a tennis court, watersports on the beach and plenty of water-based trips onto the North Sound. The main office of Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals is also in the Leverick Bay Hotel.

At the top of the hill is the Bond, a part of the mainly local settlement of Gun Creek. From here the road leads over the high hills to the southern part of the island, eventually coming to the settlement of Spanish Town, where you will find banks, a post office and shops around the marina. Try Chez Bamboo for a nice meal out and Sam’s for an often lively bar. Giorgio’s Table, on the waterfront in Savannah Bay, is also nice.

Along the western shoreline there are several beaches including Savannah Bay, Pond Bay, Mahoe Bay and Mountain Trunk Bay. The famous beaches around the Baths are to the south of the town.

Useful Hints
A basic provisioning service can be provided in advance for arrivals coming in after 7pm, for which a service charge will apply.

Please note that none of the villas on Virgin Gorda have personal laundry services and that a laundry room in the villa will be purely for doing towels and bed linen. There are public launderettes in Leverick Bay Resort and the Yacht Harbour in Spanish Town. Drop-off laundry services are also available.

Baby cots/cribs are available for US$10 per night. There is an extra person/children charge of US$50 per night (sleeping on roll-away/fold-up bed).

Staff gratuities are not included in the 12% Service Charge on the rental rates. You should therefore tip your maid directly, according to the level of service provided.

Airport/Ferry Meet & Greet
If you arrive directly at Leverick Bay (for example off the North Sound Express, which is probably the best route if you come into the BVI’s main airport on Beef Island), you will be met by on the dock by staff from Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals. You will check in at the office and from there you will be taken to your villa and settled in. The assistant will give you a general briefing on the villa and on the general area.

If you arrive at the south of the island, either at Virgin Gorda Airport or at the Spanish Town ferry terminal, then you should take a taxi to the reception of the Leverick Bay Resort - or you may wish to pick up a car there and make your own way up to the resort. If you arrive after office hours then you can collect your keys at the restaurant.

Getting Around
As with all villa holidays you are recommended to hire a car. It enables you to visit the beaches by day and the restaurants in the evenings, and of course you will need to collect groceries as well. Cars are available through Virgin Gorda Villa Rentals or you can organise one in advance through your travel organiser. The car rental company will issue you with your local driving licence at the same time that they deliver the car. Vehicles can be returned at the airport or the ferry terminal or they can be collected from the property at a pre-arranged time on your departure day.

If you would like to explore the North Sound (a nearly enclosed area of water in the north of Virgin Gorda), it is possible to hire small boats or to take a day sail from Leverick Bay.
