Coco Kreole is a well priced base set right at the heart of the action of Rodney Bay Village, the liveliest area of St Lucia. A small hotel run by a young and friendly team, Coco Kreole has just 20 air-conditioned rooms set in a brightly painted modern building that fits the area well. It is within a short walk of Reduit Beach, the liveliest on the island, and it is surrounded by restaurants and the nightlife of Rodney Bay Village, so it is a great place to base yourself for an action-filled beach and bar-bound holiday. And while Coco Kreole is ideal for anyone travelling independently and exploring St Lucia, guests are also permitted to use some of the facilities of Coco Kreole’s larger sister hotel, Coco Palm (which opened in June 2005).

KEY FEATURES
A small St Lucia hotel offering a great base in Rodney Bay Village, 20 king and double rooms, some interconnecting; cable TV, VCR, CD player, free wireless internet access, pool, bar, bed and breakfast plan; at Coco Palm pool, restaurant, massage and beauty.

A modern Caribbean inn, a town building in bright tropical colours, friendly and easy-going

CLIENT PROFILE
A good variety, young and independent travellers, some families, some yachties onshore overnight and those looking to walk to a variety of activities day or night

Getting Around
There is quite a good bus service in this area of St Lucia. All you need do is to walk for two minutes down to the main road and you can catch a bus to Castries within a couple of minutes. The buses don’t go to remote beaches of course, though you might persuade a driver (they are all private minibuses) to take you down to Pigeon Island for a few dollars. Other buses head out from Castries to the south of the island

If you want to explore the island at your own pace then it is easier to get yourself a hire car for a couple of days. We recommend you book in advance via your travel organiser or direct with
Drive-a-Matic or Cool Breeze Car & Jeep Rental, who will deliver to the property and issue your St Lucian driving licence, price EC$54. Vehicles can be returned at the airport or be collected from the property at a pre-arranged time on your departure day.

Be aware that around Christmas and New Year, and at the Jazz Festival in May, there can be a shortage of cars in St Lucia, so you are advised to book well in advance. Also book early if you want one for a week or more because the pre-booked rates can be better.
