Emeraude Plage is a small enclave of calm, quiet and reliable comfort set right on the beach in St Jean, within a short walk of the town and all its action. The 29 self-contained bungalows and cottages are laid out in two semi-circles in a sandy garden of oleander, bougainvillea and palm and have a barefoot charm about them. Against the current tide of high fashion in St Barths, they have been kept intentionally low key and are relatively (for St Barths) well priced. They are all you need, though, for a quiet, self-contained break - they have a large balcony from which to take in the world and the beach, and full kitchen facilities. So it is possible to cater for yourself, or of course you can leave the kitchen door tight closed and go out for the best of St Barths’ cuisine.

KEY FEATURES
A well-positioned St Barths villa resort, 21 bungalows, 3 suites, 2 villas and 2 cottages plus a studio, all with kitchenettes and private terrace, air-conditioning, fans, tv, wi-fi, daily maid service, Reception, library, good parking (essential in St Jean)

STYLE
A friendly set up for independent travellers, relatively simple décor but neat and spacious, right on the shoreline
