Forres Park is small and friendly nature retreat set high in the heart of the Blue Mountains. It stands on a steep hillside surrounded by fantastic mountain gardens, amid an amazing array of flowering bushes and fruit trees. The bedrooms are set in four two-bedroom cottages and a near Alpine main house (with six twins and doubles, quite simple), with an activity room, bar and balcony – and spectacular views to the surrounding villages and beyond, including to the Blue Mountain Peak, which is worth a look before you attempt the climb (Forres Park do a lot of this). There is also excellent bird-watching, on property and in the immediate, and great hiking (guided if you wish). Quite remote but very pleasant and friendly, part of the community of Mavis Bank.

KEY FEATURES
Small nature retreat for Jamaica hiking and birds in Jamaica, set at 2500ft in the Blue Mountains, nature, hiking and bird watching trails, meeting facilities, bedrooms with private baths and balconies, authentic Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine, nearby world famous coffee factory – Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee.

STYLE
Simple modern house, rendered concrete with wooden interior (also several modern private bungalows) set in lovely gardens within a quiet Jamaican community

CLIENT PROFILE
Hikers, bird-watchers and nature lovers of all ages. Some mountain bikers, others escaping it all
