Moon San Villa is an untypically stylish guest house in a spectacular setting poised above the coast at the Blue Lagoon just east of Port Antonio. In fact it is more than a guest house, both in appearance, which is much more stylish than your typical Caribbean bed and breakfast, and in setting. The now converted private villa, bright and airy, has a superb position above the Blue Lagoon, with French doors that fling open to take advantage of the lovely sea views of Pellew Island and the open sea. The four bedrooms – each individually furnished in a contemporary Caribbean style, with some use of local arts and crafts as decoration - are split over the three floors. The dining room on the upper level opens onto a balcony (again for the views) and there is a comfortable lounge below. Moon San Villa is a very comfortable place to stay and for an independent traveller it is well set up to get the best of the area. Its owner is also happy to share his vast knowledge of the island with guests.
