Barbados / Boutique/Small Hotels & Inns
Tucked among the large hotels muscling in for beachfront space on Barbados’s crowded coastlines you will find just a few small hotels and inns with unexpected calm and charm. A couple might fairly be described as ‘boutique’. With just a few rooms they are more intimate in atmosphere than the larger hotels. They usually have fewer facilities (watersports and gyms etc), but they tend to be much lower key and make a nice spot to hide away with all the restaurants and activities of the island around you. That said, several are well known for their restaurants, so you can still expect a good, sometimes lively crowd.
Most of the best inns and small hotels are along the West Coast of the island, but there are some along the South Coast and even in the East.
