Many repeat visitors to the Cayman Islands graduate from hotel and resort style accommodation to hiring a villa, especially when they wish to accommodate groups of friends or larger family gatherings. The attractions of a private pool, privacy and the sense of freedom that come with living in a well-appointed house are self-evident, and most villas also come with the option of maid-service. If you like to be part of a convivial gathering on the pool-deck at sunset or taking breakfast en-famille on the verandah in the morning, then villa-life is an attractive alternative to the relative seclusion of an hotel room.

As with condominiums and hotels, Grand Cayman offers the widest selection of villa accommodation, ranging from a simple two bedroom cottage to large houses with their own pools and private jetties. Villas differ in style, and the décor may often be to the owner’s taste rather than matching your own, but agents in Cayman maintain a high standard in terms of what the guest should expect, perhaps due to the relatively demanding nature of clients from the USA who will expect their holiday accommodation to have every possible gadget and appliance at the ready.

Cayman is a developed destination with shops and amenities comparable to the USA or Europe, and supermarkets will not be found wanting in terms of the availability and range of goods on offer, making it very easy to obtain the necessary provisions for a villa holiday.
