Dominica has a wide variety of guest house and retreat accommodation ranging from the high style arty chic of Harmony Villa at Pont Casse to admirably quixotic eco outposts like Crescent Moon Cabins, the Roots Jungle Retreat near Concord with its Carib Indian influenced “kai pais”, and the Three Rivers Eco Lodge at Newfoundland, a sustainable living centre entirely “off the grid”. A top end “guest house” can be more expensive than a small hotel in some locations and cottage type accommodation is often linked to the more unconventional holistic lifestyle in remote areas.
