Jamaica / Eco Resort/Camping
Jamaica camping, hiking and ecotourism are interrelated with the Blue Mountains always an inspirational theatre of operation. Freeform camping is not encouraged anywhere but the Jamaica Alternative Tourism Camping and Hiking Association (JATCHA) oversees nine camp sites countrywide, many of them in glorious mountain scenery—cabins at the Holywell National Recreation Area, bunk bed dormitories at Clydesdale, tents at Cinchona Gardens, huts at Portland Gap and Blue Mountain Peak and Whitfield Hall Lodge, the first stepping stone on the Peak trek. Alternatively contact the Forestry Division of the Agriculture Ministry.
