Jamaica / Villa & Condo Resorts

By James Henderson

Jamaica has some excellent villa resorts. These offer you an element of privacy and autonomy in your own villa but also the advantages of the central facilities of the resort. They vary considerably in layout and style. Some are a collection of villas built and decorated to a similar design in a central complex, while others are really more of an estate of privately owned houses with common management and some shared facilities. They usually include a pool, a bar and often a restaurant, but they might also include watersports if they are on the beach.

You can also expect centralised maid service like a hotel, usually on a daily basis, but like a private villa, you may also be offered a cook and a butler to look after you as well. It is worth noting that several of the best known hotels in Jamaica also have some villas within their inventory of rooms.
