St Lucia / Villa Rental Agents

The St Lucia villa rental scene is strong and the island has always been a popular villa rental destination, but the stock has grown quite significantly over recent years with the advent of more villa developments.

Most of the private villas are in the north of St Lucia, and principally on or around the Cap Estate. The concept of villa living is also popular in Rodney Bay, about 10 minutes drive to the south of the Cap Estate where there are clusters of linked villas and townhouses as well as stand alone properties at the water’s edge. Outside Castries, on the Vigie Peninsula offers up some nice rental villas. A newly developed area of villas is in the south of the island around Soufriere where the product range is between rustic cottages and historic estate houses set in areas of phenomenal natural beauty and newly built villas such as at Jade Mountain and around Jalousie.

Worthy St Lucia villa rental agents have always been scarce and one company has dominated the market since they started with just half a dozen villas in the mid-Eighties – Tropical Villas is by far the largest and always the most reliable villa rental agent on the island.

Well-managed St Lucia villas usually come with a housekeeper/cook who will work from about 9 am through to 3pm daily.  Good villa rental agents will ensure that the properties are kept in tip-top condition while also providing services locally to the guests, such as airport transfers either in a private taxi of helicopter, delivery of a rental vehicle to the villa, pre-stocking the villa with food.

They will always send a staff member to visit you fairly soon after arrival to make sure that everything is well and to give advice on shopping, restaurants and places of interest in the area.
