St Martin/St Maarten / Hotels & Resorts
Resort hotels with 20 rooms or more are the most common type of accommodation on St Martin/St Maarten. As well as a bedroom you get a host of services and facilities to make your holiday run with ease including - at the very minimum - a pool, restaurant and reception. Children's clubs, a spa, watersports are also common, perhaps with tennis courts, meeting rooms and – on St Maarten only – a casino. They get a lot of business and as a result have become very efficient at processing their guests with varying levels of warmth and interest. In the larger properties it can take some time for room service to arrive or maintenance issues to be resolved. Only a very few have a style and glamour comparable to the luxurious standards found on other islands, including nearby Anguilla and St Barths.
