There are some very smart villas to rent on St Martin/St Maarten, reflecting the wealthy custom the island attracts on account of its easy international access and high class marinas. The most exclusive are located in Les Terres Basses (the Lowlands), an undulating countryside protected by armed security guards that lies in the west of St Martin. At such top-end residences everything comes as fully staffed as you want, including cooks, nannies and drivers. The properties are often enormous with designer interiors, a stylish pool, high-spec kitchen and a state-of-the-art media system.

More modest villas can also be found on the island, too. Hhere you can have a relaxing time with family and friends, party on the beach and buy provisions to cook with at supermarkets such as Gourmet Marché and Grand Marché.
