Castara Retreats is tucked into the hillside overlooking Castara Bay. The main building, comprising a penthouse and two apartments, stands below a trio of well appointed timber cottages, all appositely named - Coasthanger, Fisherman’s and Birdsong. Each unit is locally made with greenheart doors and frames with cypress flooring, and offering one or two spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living area with hardwood furniture, a balcony with covered terrace and hammock, and en suite shower room. The natural ambience is overlain with abundant birdlife and a profusion of tropical vegetation and fruit trees, the perfect location for appreciating the rhythms of Tobago life. Provisions are sourced locally and guests are encouraged to interact with villagers and learn how to cook with local ladies which adds immeasurably to the overall experience. British owned and locally managed, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly should you need them, otherwise you can just enjoy the privacy of the cottage or explore at your leisure.

The main house has three apartments – Rainforest, a two-bedroom penthouse on the upper level, and Hummingbird #1 and #2 are one-bedroom apartments on the lower level. Fisherman's Lodge is a large cabin with a double bedroom. Coasthanger, a one-bedroom and Birdsong, a two-bedroom, are Haiku lodges
