All the major business and corporate hotels are located in Port Of Spain in keeping with the government’s aim to develop the conference industry though a few smaller scale places in the south and east cater to oil and natural gas industry operatives. Impressive newly constructed buildings have raised standards of service and hospitality awareness and increased the competition in what for years was a fairly stagnant sector.
