Nevis / Beach Life

The sleepy island of Nevis has managed to keep its beaches pristine and largely untouched. Yes you’ll find a couple of incredible five star resorts along its shores, but they are discreetly placed and all beaches are public. In keeping with this gentle island, you won’t find any raucous beach bars (though Sunshine’s is less tame and famous for moonlight bonfire parties) or extreme sports along the sands here except windsurfing which is popular. Otherwise Nevis’ beach life is more about taking the time to reflect and soak up the natural beauty with a gentle horse ride along the sands or time spent looking for shells. Visitors and locals alike enjoy snorkelling at Gallow’s Bay, Long Haul Bay and Nisbet Beach and there are plenty of secluded spots to take a picnic and relax for the entire day. Beach life at its most laid back.
