Nevis / Kitesurfing/Windsurfing
Windsurfing on Nevis is available at Oualie Beach overlooking the Narrows to St Kitts. The bay is protected and so it is ideal for instruction and early practise, but intermediate surfers can head out into the channel, the Narrows, where the winds are pinched between the islands and the winds are constant and strong. There is some bump and jump on the waves. For larger waves you can head round to Newcastle and Nisbet on the north shore.
There is currently no kitesurfing school on Nevis, though a few people do kite in the Narrows, which is good if you are a competent kitesurfer. Unfortunately the best winds on Nevis are close to the runway at the airport, where of course it is not permitted.
