St Barths is blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and even its bijou airport runs into the sand, yet this island manages to carry it off with style. Beach life reigns supreme here as this is the place where the rich and beautiful come to see and be seen at some of the world’s most sought after beach clubs like Nikki Beach on St Jean Beach and top class restaurants like La Case de L’Isle at Isle de France which overlooks the incredible Flamands Beach.

Whenever there’s a major festival or party on St Barths, it will focus around a beach, so don’t be surprised to see a music concert or a fashion show on the sand. But of course there’s another, more discreet side to the chichi island, that means beaches like Colombier which are only accessible by boat or footpath can be pretty much deserted and the perfect place to hide away. Salinas is still a gorgeous wild beach where you won’t find any resorts or bars and where it’s totally acceptable to sunbathe nude. Public Beach is home to the island’s sailing school and you'll most likely see luxury yachts moored off every beach in this millionaire’s playground. The paradox being of course, that beach life is free.
