Waterman Festival -
"Annual event hosted by founder Brian Irie Man Talma, a former professional windsurfer who created the event to showcase the island's beach culture. Includes windsurfing, surfing, kite surfing, fishing, long distance swimming, paddle surfing, beach cricket and conch shell blowing competitions. This years theme is Beach Culture Art and is inspired by Brians trip to the Maldives in 2011 where he spent a month painting, before heading to Mexico and Germany as part of his Barbados Beach Culture Tour. The Waterman Festival takes place on deAction Beach at Silver Sands and kicks-off with a stand-up paddle from the Crane to deAction Beach."

"Costumed street parades in Gustavia starting with schoolchildren on 12 Feb with the Carnival School Parade, culminating on 21 Feb with the Mardi Gras parade in Gustavia and 22 Feb, Mercredi des Cendres (Ash Wednesday) when Vaval, the spirit of French Caribbean Carnival, is taken to Shell Beach in a procession of revellers dressed in black and white, and burned."

Sailing & Regattas | Tobago
Tobago Carnival Regatta -
Also dubbed A Festival of Wind with small yachts and traditional work boats (bum boats) from the region competing. The Tobago event also includes the popular Air Shows at Pigeon Point by both local and international windsurfers and kite surfers (they have dubbed the area the Wind Hole). The classic yacht regatta section has now moved to Trinidad and will take place 09-12 Feb in Chaguaramas as the Trinidad Carnival Regatta.
