Dominica / Charity Support

Our designated charity of choice in Dominica is Home from Home which operates under the aegis of the faith based Lifeline Ministries affiliated to Lifeline International UK, promoting social initiatives around the world. Essentially the charity works with community based organisations and groups, offering daytime support to about 60 disabled children, as well as promoting organic farming, sustainability and Aids awareness (Life Goes On is the HIV support group).

Executive Director and English social worker Tina Alexander has been a psychiatric support nurse since 1994 and her Dominican husband also worked in the local hospital at Goodwill. She was the Honorary Consul to the British High Commissioner and joined Lifeline in 1998.
