Motor yachts have grown enormously in popularity in the Caribbean over the past few years and you can hire anything from a 30-footer to a small cruise ship. They tend to be wider in the beam than sailing yachts and so they are more comfortable to live in, but they have a shallow draught and are able to access the same locations as a sailing yacht.

Crewed motor yachts can be among the most sumptious vessels and tend to come with a slick crew who will look after you well though you will need deep pockets.

Inevitably, dealing with such expensive hardware, there are fewer companies that offer motor yachts, in particular bareboat motor charters, than sailing yachts.
