When travel writer Jane Anderson heads out to the Turks and Caicos on a two-week research trip next month, she’ll be looking beyond the hotels found in glossy brochures.
The information she’ll be gathering for Definitive Caribbean will give users a unique opportunity to access a wealth of knowledge and research about some of the Caribbean’s lesser-known islands. Her guide will cover everything from five-star resorts to the little restaurants, guesthouses and haunts that are currently under the radar.
Jane said: “I’ve visited before, but I’m really looking forward to seeing all the developments. As well as looking at well-known places such as Grace Bay and Parrot Cay, I want to see more unusual hideaways such as Salt Cay, with its little Bahamian style houses, quirky restaurants and salt industry heritage. All the islands have quite diverse personalities.”
Aside from writing about places to stay and eat along with activities, Jane will be looking at the natural attractions and the quirky side of the islands. These include the amazing dive sites¸ the bat caves on Middle Caicos and the world’s only Conch Farm.
