Nevis / Ferries

There are three ferry companies which run daily services between Charlestown, Nevis, and Basseterre, St Kitts. They are fun to travel at leisure, but are not the most practical means of reaching your hotel or catching an outbound international flight. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes and the fares are very reasonable. In addition is the “Sea Bridge” car ferry service, which operates from Cades Bay to Major’s Bay in the south-east peninsula of St Kitts.

Ferry companies servicing Nevis include:

M&M Transportation - Operates two ferries, the Carib Breeze and Carib Surf.

Wesk Agency - With two ferries, the Sea Hustler, which is more of a cargo vessel, and Mark Twain.

F&F Transportation - Operates Carib Queen.

Sea Bridge Ferry - Operates the car ferry service.

Most hotels now offer a semi-private or private water taxi transfer service for guests flying into St Kitts, otherwise contact:

Nevis Water Sports, Oualie Beach - Water taxi services to Turtle Beach and Port Zante. Private charters available.

Tambo, Turtle Beach, St Kitts - Tambo operates a six-seater powerboat called Destiny.
