Saba / Taxis

By Nigel Tisdall

Saba has around nine taxi drivers who generally have large vehicles that can take several passengers and their luggage. The tourist office publishes an up-to-date list of names and numbers, along with government-approved rates for journeys. A ride from the airport to Windwardside, for example, costs $12.50, plus $1 per bag and tip. Fares are higher after 9pm. You can also ask hotels and restaurants to call you a taxi - if you are catching a flight or ferry, make sure you book one in good time.
