St Barthélemy / Getting Around
St Barths isn’t a huge island to explore, but the lack of public transport - there are no bus services - means visitors need to hire a car or take a taxi. And at the height of the season when the island is busy, it can be hard to get hold of either, so planning ahead is essential.
St Barths is well-placed for island-hopping to nearby spots such as Anguilla, Nevis and the British Virgin Islands or travellers can take a boat trip to discover nearby islands such as St Martin or smaller less-developed outposts.

There is no local bus transport in St Barths (except for schoolchildren).
