St Eustatius / Getting Around
St Eustatius is a small island that is easy to befriend. There is only 48 miles (30km) of road and while hiring a car is convenient it is only essential if you want to get to its furthest corners, including the Miriam C. Schmidt Botanical Gardens. Most accommodation and all the restaurants and shops are in Oranjestad – note that there is a steep climb between the Lower Town and the Upper. Taxis are available but there is no public transport.
For more information about transport on St Eustatius, including recommended car rental companies, ferries and Island hopping options, please select a Getting Around St Eustatius category below or from the side menu.
