St Kitts is a compact and attractive island to explore with pretty lush countryside dotted with old sugar mills and pretty plantation house hotels. With just one main road, there isn’t much chance of getting lost if you hire a car, but if you don’t wish to get behind the wheel, you can explore parts of the island by bus or take a taxi tour as the drivers are trained as guides. Take the ferry to sister island Nevis or jump on one of the many local flights to explore nearby islands such as St Martin, Anguilla or St Barths.
