Antigua and Barbuda / Tour Operators

By Sara Macefield

As one of the Caribbean’s main tourist hubs, Antigua attracts a mix of holidaymakers with a variety of holiday experiences to match. Some visitors are drawn by its larger resorts, some of which are all-inclusive, which tend to be featured by larger, mass market travel companies. Smaller, more exclusive resorts scattered across the island, and located on Antigua’s sister island Barbuda, are featured by a few major travel organisers, but tend to be the preserve of upmarket travel firms or Caribbean specialists. The island’s yachting pedigree and its popularity among the sailing fraternity has also attracted a number of travel organisers that specialise in this sector. Travellers can also tap into Definitive Caribbean as their guide to the island and use travel agents to put together a package specifically tailored to their needs or make their own arrangements. The key thing to remember is to book with a fully-bonded company or take out relevant insurance that will cover you if your chosen travel provider fails.
