Generally the best airlines offering private charter services from Barbados are SVG Air and Mustique Airways - the two airlines also operate together as the Grenadine Airline Alliance. SVG Air in particular is good for private charter to a number of different islands such as Grenada and St Lucia as well as all the Grenadine islands which have airstrips (for Mayreau, PSV and Palm Island fly to Union Island). The great bonus of chartering your own plane, which especially might make financial sense if you are a family or group, is that you can be secure in the knowledge that you aren't going to lose your luggage en route and you won't have to dip in and out of countless other island airports on the way to your final destination.
