Bonaire / Getting There
Flights
From Europe, the best way is to fly from Amsterdam or Paris direct to Bonaire with KLM, Air France or ArkeFly. There are no direct flights from Canada and flights from America often stop in Curacao which has a larger airport. The distance between Bonaire and Curacao is less than 30 minutes and tickets can be booked with either Fly DAE, Tiara Air, Insel Air or Divi-Divi air.
Passport/Visas
US citizens can enter Bonaire with a birth certificate and a picture ID, or a valid Passport, in addition to an ongoing or return ticket. It is however important to remember that as of January 2007, all United States citizens are required to have a passport to return to the US.
A passport is required for Canadians intending to visit Bonaire. It must be valid for at least three months beyond the date of your expected departure from the island. If travelling to Bonaire for one week or less, you are only required to be in possession of valid photo identification and proof of citizenship (such as a birth certificate). Remember that if you are travelling via the United States, you will need a passport.
UK citizens must use a valid passport and be in possession of a return ticket.
Citizens of most countries in the world do not need a visa for their entry to the island, however some do, so make sure to check with your travel operator when planning your trip.
