British Virgin Islands / Regional Flights
Large international airlines are unable to land their planes in the Brtish Virgin Islands as Beef Island Airport cannot take anything larger than a 64-seater aircraft. To complete your journey there are a number of regional scheduled that serve the BVI but bear in mind that these services may make a number of stops en route.
Those arriving on international flights tend to connect at regional hubs such as Antigua, Puerto Rico or St Maarten, where local services tie in with the arrival of the long-haul aircraft. Those arriving in St Thomas can take a local flight or a ferry to the BVIs
Regional airlines with services into the BVIs include:
Air Sunshine - Regular scheduled flights from Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St Croix and Virgin Gorda, also charter service.
American Eagle/American Airlines - Up to three daily scheduled flights from Puerto Rico, St Martin.
Cape Air - Regular schedules from Puerto Rico.
LIAT - Regular scheduled through flights from St Maarten and Antigua.
