British Virgin Islands / Private Charter

By Feona Gray

Private charters are a great way of getting around if you want to do some island hopping or if regular flight schedules don't suit you.  The cost isn't prohibitive, especially if you are travelling as a family or group.  If you want to visit Anegada then hopping on a private charter flight is the most convenient way of getting there and back in a day.

Local/regional charter airlines serving the BVIs include:

Island Birds - Charter company with planes holding either 5 or 7 passengers, flights all over the Eastern Caribbean.

Air Sunshine - Available for charter flights within the BVI and other Caribbean destinations.

Caribbean Wings - Charter available for flights to and from Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Tortola, Puerto Rico, St Maarten, Antigua and other Caribbean destinations.

Fly BVI - Available for flights within the BVI and other Caribbean destinations.

BVI Airways- Scheduled services from Tortola to Antigua, St Maarten and Dominica. Private charters to other Caribbean destinations.

Other charter airline companies include:

Bohlke International Airways and VI Airlink.

Alternatively, there are ferry services.
