Curacao / Getting There

Flights

Europeans can book a direct flight to Curacao from Amsterdam with KLM or ArkeFly and there are also charter flights from Italy with Blue Panorama.

From USA American Airlines fly from Miami and Continental from New York – Canadians don’t have a direct route but can connect in one of these cities or fly to Aruba for a connecting flight.

Aserca, Avianca, Avior, Gol and Surinam Airways fly from nearby Central and South America.

Inter Caribbean flights can be booked with Fly DAE, Tiara Air, Insel Air, Divi-Divi Air and LIAT.

Passport/Visas

A Canadian passport is required for Canadians intending to visit Curaçao for more than a week. It should be valid for at least three months beyond the date of your expected departure. If you are travelling for a week or less, you are required only to be in possession of valid photo identification and proof of citizenship (such as a birth certificate) 

US citizens can also enter Curaçao with a birth certificate and a picture ID, or a valid passport, in addition to the ongoing or return ticket. It is however important to remember that as of January 2007, all United States citizens are required to have a passport to return to the US. 

UK citizens must use a valid passport and be in possession of a return ticket. 

Citizens of most countries in the world do not need a visa for their entry to the island; however some do so make sure to check with your travel operator when planning your trip.

The Curaçao Tourism Bureau has an information office in downtown Willemstad, at 19 Pietermaai, PO Box 3266, t 434 8200, info@ctdb.net. There is also an information desk at the airport. The Tourism Bureau issues a yellow pamphlet for visitors called Curaçao Holiday.
