KHATTS Tours is a Government Authorised Adventure Vacations and Ground Handling Company which strives to satisfy personal trip needs wherever possible, with restriction only imposed when safety and common sense demand it. Kenneth Dill, the company’s founder, is always willing to consider a new itinerary, indeed, will encourage variation on an accepted hiking theme. There’s the added benefit too of using state-of-the-art global positioning satellite phones, in remote locations. A full range of vehicles is at hand for the more regulation airport pick-up and drop-off journeys.
All the staff at KHATTS Dominica are approachable and welcoming, and the main desk retains a prime location up the old stone stairwell from the lobby of the prestigious Fort Young Hotel on Roseau’s waterfront. Likely as not, you’ll be greeted by the beaming smile of Operations Manager, Sonia Lander here or, if not, by the laconic dry humour of lead guide Martin, a man who’s ‘been there and seen that’ across most of Dominica. If both are indisposed, then merely pop down two levels to the waterfront Dive Shop and chances are you’ll front up with the man himself, Mr Dill, conducting a high tech operation from his desktop base camp.
