Jamaica / International Flights

By Sara Macefield

Jamaica is well served by international flights, particularly from the USA where several airlines offer regular services from numerous US cities including New York, Dallas, Miami, Boston and Philadelphia. There are also regular services from Canada and Panama. The island boasts a good selection of flights from Europe with scheduled and charter services from the UK to Montego Bay and Kingston along with links from Germany and Holland. Most flights serve the north coast city of Montego Bay as this is closest to the island’s main tourist resorts. There is also the new Ian Fleming International Airport (formerly known as the Boscobel Aerodrome), which opened in January 2011 following a multi-million dollar expansion, and can handle small jets flying from other Caribbean countries and the States.
