Nevis / International Flights

Nevis can tap into international flights to the Caribbean thanks to the network of local services that link the island to the larger Caribbean flight hubs, which are served by major airlines from North America and Europe. The closest international arrival point is the neighbouring island of St Kitts, which has regular flights from the UK, but the obvious hub for British passengers is Antigua. The island also receives flights from Germany and North American cities. St Maarten is served by flights from France, Holland, the USA and Canada, while Puerto Rico is a popular hub for US flights and is also served by Canadian and British airlines.

Airlines serving the islands near Nevis include:

St Kitts

British Airways has weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays from London Gatwick. American Airlines and Delta Air Lines from North America. Air Canada is due to commence a new service out of Toronto on 23 December 2011.  The seven-minute onward flight transfer from St Kitts is no longer available and all travel over to Nevis is now by water taxi or ferry.

Antigua

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic from the UK. Condor from Germany. From the USA, American Airlines, Continental Airways and US Airways, From Canada, Air Canada and charter airlines.

There are connections to Nevis (25 minutes) several times a day on LIAT.

St Maarten

Served by Air France from Paris and KLM from Amsterdam. From the USA, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, US Airways, United Airlines, Jetblue Airways and Air Canada from Canada, plus a number of charter airlines from all these countries. There are no flights from the UK at present.

Inter-island links are available a couple of times a day on LIAT and Winair. Timings are likely to be even tighter than on the Antigua route if you are trying to get there the same day.

San Juan - Served from the USA by, American Airlines/American Eagle, Continental, Delta, United Airlines and US Airways.  From Canada by Air Canada and from the UK by British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
