Puerto Rico / Getting There

Flights

Puerto Rico is very well connected with especially USA, with flights from all larger cities on the east coast. Over ten airlines offer direct flights to San Juan from USA, book with Air Sunshine, airTran, AA, Continental, Delta, jetBlue, Spirit, Sun Country, United and US Airways. 
 
Canadians can fly from Toronto with either Air Canada or Sunwing, and South Americans have the option of either Copa or LAN Argentina. 
 
For Europeans, the best way is to fly from Paris with Air France, London with BA or Virgin Atlantic, Madrid with Iberia or Amsterdam with KLM.
 
For flights to the rest of the Caribbean, Inter Caribe offer flights to the Dominican Republic, Cape Air to BVI, USVI, Anguilla and Nevis and LIAT to St Vincent, Antigua and Dominica.

Passports/Visas

For American citizens no passport is necessary for travel to Puerto Rico. Some form of identification, for example a driver’s license, passport or an original copy of a birth certificate, should be carried to evidence US citizenship or nationality. 

All other visitors to Puerto Rico require a valid passport along with a return airline ticket. British citizens must hold a full 10-year passport valid for at least 6 months from entry date. 

Canadian, American, British and EU citizens do not require a visa for short stays.
