Saba / Flights
With the world’s shortest commercial runway – at only 1,300ft (400m) long it is little more than the length of an aircraft carrier – Saba isn’t really in a position to accept any international flights. In fact, it’s rather hard-pushed to accept flights on many aircraft as the runway capacity is limited to small light aircraft carrying around 20 people. However, there are good services into nearby hubs such as St Maarten and regular flights from there to Saba on 16-seater Twin Otter aircraft.
