St Lucia / International Flights
St Lucia is served by direct flights from the UK and a selection of American cities, with services from Charlotte, Miami, Atlanta and New York. There are also flights to the island from Toronto. These all fly into the island’s Hewanorra International Airport in the south as it is the only one capable of handling wide-bodied jets.
It’s worth noting that if you have difficulty finding a flight to St Lucia, or there is no flight on the day that you want to travel, then it is often possible to fly via Barbados, from where there are many transfers each day, including an evening flight that leaves after the scheduled arrival of the international services. Connecting flights will probably fly into the northern George F L Charles Airport (SLU) or “Vigie” outside Castries.
