Tobago / Regional Flights

By Sara Macefield

The main local flights that serve Tobago are those from its sister island Trinidad as there are around 12 return flights a day between the two islands as well as a regular ferry service. To access the network of regional flights to other Caribbean islands and Latin America, travellers need to fly to Trinidad as this is the local hub. From here, there are services to a number of US cities, along with flights to Venezuela, Guyana and Panama.

Regional airlines serving Trinidad:

LIAT from Port of Spain and on to Grenada and Barbados, from where there are onward connections up the island chain.

Domestic flights:

Trinidad is only a 20-minute flight from Tobago. Domestic services between the two islands are fairly frequent with Caribbean Airlines, which operates around 12 return flights a day between 6am and 9pm, cost TT$300 (US$50) return.

For those arriving in Tobago from Trinidad, there is also a ferry service. See Tobago Ferries Section for more details.
