Tips for Submitting Reviews

This website and the community are positive and respectful forums, intended to showcase the best of the Caribbean, where you are welcome to express your views and experiences of the Caribbean. We are very proud of the high standard of professionally written content on this site and we welcome any polite and constructive feedback or insightful and accurate information that you might have from your experiences and stay in the Caribbean. If you have inappropriate or offensive comments to make about any products, services, islands, people or affiliates which you may have experienced, please do not use this website or community as your platform because your submission will be automatically deleted without further reference.

Before writing or submitting a review please take the time to carefully read our Terms and Conditions of Use and our Privacy Policy.  In particular we draw your attention to the following guidelines:

Good Review Practice

  1. Please post a review within 90 days of your visit and try to be succinct and accurate while giving as much information as might be helpful to others.
  2. Good constructive feedback is always well received by accommodation and service providers that are keen to improve their business.  If you have negative comments to make, please make them in a helpful, objective and constructive manner.
  3. If you are writing about how great something is, please let the readers know why it is so.  See the difference in the sentences below:
    1. ‘What a great restaurant.  We really enjoyed our lunch at…’
    2. ‘What a great restaurant.  The fish was fresh from the sea that day, the service was friendly and efficient and the seafront setting was wonderful.  When the children got bored they could play in the sand in front of us, which left us with a little time to ourselves…’

Your review and owner/manager responses are the subjective opinions of those who have posted the content.  They are not our opinions and are not endorsed by us.  Although reviews are pre-moderated, we do not have any obligation to investigate the truthfulness or accuracy of reviews or responses although we reserve the right to do so.

Once your review is online, everyone with internet access can read it.  As we develop our community, your comments may be rated by other users and categorised e.g. best and worst rated. You can express a strong opinion but please do not go over the top.  Remember that you are legally responsible for what you submit.  Please consider how your comments could be received by others.  Many different types of people of different ages may view your comments.

Please be polite and refrain from using swear words or crude or sexual language. Only English is allowed as the language for your postings and it would be helpful if you take care to use good grammar and spelling. Please keep your submissions relevant and avoid criticising other contributions or discussing the non-appearance or removal of any content.  Please also respect people's privacy.

Please note that we reserve the right (without limitation) to edit, moderate, publish in part only or not publish reviews at our discretion even if they do not breach our terms and conditions.

Good Response Practice

If you are the owner/manager of accommodation or a business that has been reviewed, you will automatically receive a copy of the review through our system.  We know how busy you are but guest reviews offer a really good PR/marketing opportunity for you to get your message across and participate positively with visitors and guests.

Our system is built to allow up to 72 hours for you to respond to a reviewer.  Both the review and your response to it are pre-moderated and may be edited prior to publication.  If we do not hear from you, the review will automatically be published providing that it complies fully with our rules.
