Anguilla / Security
Generally crime on Anguilla is very low and it is an extremely safe island, both from the point of view of personal security and with regard to your belongings. Recently the island has seen an increase in gang-related crimes and robberies of small businesses or restaurants, but tourists are usually not targeted by this kind of crime. However, you are advised to take the same sensible precautions as you would anywhere in the world, by not leaving valuable belongings visible from outside your villa, or unattended on the beach or in a car, particularly in remote areas of the island.
The best advice is to leave your bling at home! Otherwise, if your accommodation has a safe, please use it. If you don't have a safe, ask the management (hotel, villa etc) if they have any secure facilities you can use for your valuables.
