Aruba / Medical
Like the rest of the Caribbean, Aruba has a hot but fairly benign climate. If you are unlucky enough to fall ill your first port of call should probably be your hotel front desk as most hotels have a doctor on call. Pharmacies are located island wide, including in some of the hotel shopping malls. Visitors’ prescriptions can be fulfilled following consultation with a local physician.
In a medical emergency there is a casualty room at the Dr Horacio Oduber Hospital on LG Smith Bd, t 874 300
There are no special health requirements for visitors to Aruba, but travellers coming from areas infected with Yellow Fever need an immunisation certificate
