Montserrat / Currency/Credit Cards
The currency of Montserrat is the Eastern Caribbean dollar (EC$), which is fixed to the US dollar at EC$2.65 = US$1. US dollars are widely accepted but expect your change back in EC dollars. Credit cards are not likely to be accepted, but there is no problem cashing traveller’s cheques or drawing money on a card at the banks.
