There are very few problems with security in St Barths, but as everywhere you are advised to be sensible with your belongings. It is sensible to lock your villa when you leave it and not to leave anything visible in your car. From the point of view of personal safety you can walk anywhere on the island at any time of day, even as a woman alone, and you will be perfectly safe.
