St Eustatius / Security

By Nigel Tisdall

St Eustatius feels safe and unthreatening, and has little crime. However it is best to take the usual precautions, such as not leaving valuable belongings on a balcony or veranda, or in a car if you are off hiking. Hotels do not always have in-room safes. There is a police station in Bay Brow (near the airport), t 318 2333.
