St Martin/St Maarten / Airport
St Martin
Aéroport l'Espérance-Grand-Case, t 590 590 87 53 03, is a small local airport principally used for connections to St Barths and Guadeloupe.
St Maarten
Princess Juliana International Airport, t 599 545 4211, is a large, bright, airy terminal that strives to be “ultra modern with warm Caribbean charm”. It generally succeeds - luggage trolleys are free, there's a decent range of shops and places to eat and drink, and the staff seem motivated despite the pressures of processing over a hundred flights a day. Airside is on the first floor – if you have time to fill there are bars, shops and a good amount of seating here. If there's a long delay, you might want to retreat to the sanctuary of its Soualiga Business Class Lounge – admission is $20 and includes soft drinks, wine, snacks and Internet access.
