U.S. Virgin Islands / Currency/Credit Cards
The currency of the US Virgin Islands is the US dollar. No other currencies are used. Credit cards are accepted in hotels and throughout the islands in all but the smallest shops and restaurants.
Travellers cheques are widely accepted in hotels, shops and restaurants, provided they are in US Dollars. Foreign exchange bureaux are available but it is recommended to arrive with US Dollars.
