Cayman Islands / Art Galleries

A number of local artists practice in Cayman and there are several shops displaying and selling their work. In addition, the Cayman Islands National Gallery actively encourages an appreciation of the visual arts in Cayman, with exhibitions by local and visiting artists.

We'd also recommend a visit to the following Cayman Island art galleries:

Pure Art, South Church Street - This shop and gallery a short drive south of George Town is run by American artist Debbie Chase holds an impressive array of paintings and objets created by the local artistic community.

The Gallery, Ritz Carlton Resort, Seven Mile Beach - Conceived when the hotel was still at the planning stage this gallery features high quality works by artists practising in Cayman. The hotel allows artists to keep a generous percentage of the sale price in order to encourage and allow local artists to continue producing their work.

Arteccentrix, Industrial Park, George Town - Nickola McCoy-Snell’s studio can be visited by appointment, and she organises exhibitions by a group of Caymanian artists.
